HYPERTENSION – HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE  

 

High blood pressure or hypertension is caused by a blockage or narrowing of the arteries or valves which increases resistance and ups the pressure.  Inflammation of artery lining is a common problem in hypertension.  If this inflammatory condition persists, serious Heart disease will most probably result.

Symptoms

  • Bloodshot eyes and spots
  • Facial flush
  • Headaches
  • Anxiety
  • Shortness of breath
  • Nosebleeds

  • Impinged arteries from disease or trauma
  • Insomnia
  • Kidney problems
  • Hormonal problems Adrenal / Thyroid issues
  • Congenital defects
  • Medications / chemicals, birth control pills, cold remedies, decongestants, street and prescription drugs, alcohol, cocaine, amphetamines
